Writing philosophy
I approach my writing choreographically. I want it to move and, sometimes, be moving. It feels experimental. How can I translate the fleeting shapes, images, and evocations of live performance to the page? How can I invite the creators of the work as well as the audience to the dance in written form? How can I contribute meaningfully to the dance community by documenting some of their efforts?
Contact me if you are interested in hiring a dance writer! I am happy to preview, review, feature, and write opinion pieces about cultural dance phenomena.
